I was surprised that the pattern is incised. The pictures don't show that clearly. The clay body is like stoneware and the glaze is very solid. Very well made plates and very rapid delivery. I ordered one set late at night and they were here the next afternoon!

I got a couple of different sets of black and white dishes this summer. This set is just stellar. It helps with portion control (smaller plate, smaller meal) and looks good while doing it.

I prefer plates, bowls and drinkware that have unique patterns with nothing exactly the same and these plates fit that style wonderfully. Everyone gets their own unique serving at meals. Excellent style!

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. You would think they're expensive plates due to texture, thickness and material. Really nice modern salad plates that add a flare to my white dinner plates and table. I bought another set to have 8 total.
